A.B.D.M. (Alternative Buying and Distribution Methods) has been in operation since 1992 and specializes in procurement solutions for the hospitality industry.

Alan Sacks, the principal of A.B.D.M. has more than 25 years experience in the hospitality industry. Educated in Britain with an Honours degree in Hotel Administration, Alan emigrated to Canada in 1982. His North American experience includes 10 years with Delta Hotels & Resorts as a General Manager of 3 properties and as Corporate Director of Food and Beverage.

A.B.D.M. has gained expertise in the resort industry through its extensive work and long term relationship with the Whistler Lodging Company in Whistler. WLC's houseware and linen program has been successfully standardised and introduced during this time.

A.B.D.M. set up the National Purchasing Program for Canadian Hotel Income Properties (Canada's first Hotel REIT - 36 hotels) and currently administers the British Columbia and Yukon Hotels' Association purchasing program.
